Page Setup in Ms-Word
You may find that the default margin settings in Word are not sufficient for the
document you want to create, in which case you will want to change these
settings.
In this session, you will learn how to change the page orientation, paper size, and page margins.
Click the Margins button
and select Custom
Margins from the drop-down menu.
The Page
Setup dialog box displays. Make sure the Margins tab is
active. Enter the margins you want to use as the default margins in the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right edit boxes
in the Margins section.
Click the Default button.
Note : The gutter margin is an additional
margin added to a page layout to compensate for the part of the paper made
unusable by the binding process. The gutter margin is on the left or top of
the page.
How to change orientation in Ms-Word document
Portrait Orientation makes a page stand. Providing more
vertical space, but less horizontal space. It looks like this.
Landscape Orientation, on the other hand, makes a page lay on its
longer side, offering more horizontal space, but less vertical space. It looks
like this.
Orientation can be changed from Portrait to landscape and landscape to Portrait by following these steps.

Select the pages or
paragraphs whose orientation you want to change.

There are two methods
to change orientation
- First method is to direct click.
- Click Orientation button in the Page Layout ribbon.
- Then click on Portrait or Landscape option.
- Second Method
- Click Margins
in the Page Layout ribbon.
- Click Custom margins.
- Go to Orientation block then click on Portrait or
Landscape option which one you require.

Click the OK Button to
Apply the layout.
